New Website & New Directions

Trupti Karjinni

After a lot of planning, designing, crying, tweaking and more crying, our new website is finally up! Haha! I'm Trupti Karjinni, artist, instructor and the Founder & Owner of Blue Pine Arts. You can know more about us here.

Welcome to our new website, I really hope you enjoy the experience. While our Etsy store is still up and running, shopping from our website is going to be a more comfortable experience, especially for my lovely Indian customers who've had to go through a rather circuitous route for payments on Etsy because Etsy doesn't support INR yet. So yay!

Watercolor florals Carnations

Journey so far

If you know me on Instagram, you know that I quit my job last year in January and went full-time as an artist and business owner. I have two main aspects to my business - the artist-side of the business where I make and sell art, teach online and in-person workshops and work with brands, and the handmade art supplies business where my kickass team and I make handmade watercolors, sketchbooks and resell a few other brands' products. For the longest time, I struggled with how to showcase both the aspects on one platform.

Enter this brand new website.

"This website is going to be a one-stop-shop for all our Blue Pine Arts products and also art and art resources from me."

You can purchase all our products here. You can find free art resources, online classes, downloadable classes and workshops here!

Big changes this year

I am incredible excited about the direction my business is taking. This year has been one of deep introspection and hence a lot of good and necessary changes have happened. Starting with my name change from the popular Whatacolorgal to Trupti Karjinni on social media. That is because I won't be an exclusively watercolor artist anymore and also, I wanted to have a brand name that is more representative of me as a whole.

I will be branching into new mediums and producing larger works in watercolors, acrylics and oils for art collectors. I will be releasing a lot of online classes on Skillshare and here on the website, so definitely keep a lookout. I will also be teaching a lot of in-person workshops in India starting this year.

Another exciting aspect I'm looking forward to is BLOGS. Before the watercolor bug bit me, writing used to be my medium of expression, even as a kid. Now with this website, I will be able to share so much more with you guys without the character limit of Instagram. I will be sharing a lot of resources, reviews and interviews by talented artists in this space.

I am so fortunate that I get to merge my deep love for travel with art. Most of you know that I am a traveling artist and I share snippets of this on Instagram. Based on many spirited conversations about my travels with my followers, I will be writing travel blogs too because think my audience will benefit from my unique travel recommendations.

For now, I hope you enjoy the new website AND the free watercolor tutorial I've put out for you! Also, don't forget, we have a massive giveaway going on our Instagram account where you could win loads of art supplies and other fun stuff!

And lastly, THANK YOU for taking the time to visiting the new site and reading my words. I'm able to live the life of a full-time artist and entrepreneur because of  people like you who engage with me on Instagram, purchase our products, watch my classes and support me. I'm eager to give YOU resources to help you grow and help you achieve YOUR VISION of being an artist by sharing updates about my business, new classes and new handmade, high quality products.

Be sure to subscribe to our mailing list to get updates on all the good stuff I've been waiting to share with you!
