Our Annual Monsoon Paint Production Pause
How you can still get your hands on your favorite handmade watercolors

Our matte (non-shimmer) handmade watercolors are available only on pre-order from 8th July, 2026 to 1st September, 2026. That’s because once a year, during the monsoon season in India, we temporarily pause our matte paint production.
Why do we pause production?
Every single pan of watercolor we create is poured, dried, cured, and packaged entirely by hand.
During the monsoon season, the humidity in our studio becomes too high for our paints to dry and cure properly. Rather than rush the process or compromise on the quality we’re known for, we choose to pause production until the weather is right again.
It’s a short break that helps ensure every pan you receive meets the standards we hold ourselves to.
Many of you reached out asking if there was a way to reserve your favorite colors while production is paused.
We’re so excited to say… there is!
The Good News - Pre-orders are now open!
You can now preorder any of your favorite handmade watercolors, and we’ll handcraft and ship your order as soon as production resumes (tentatively around 1st September, 2026.
Our full watercolor collection is available to preorder, including:
- Individual watercolor colors
- Watercolor + sketchbook bundles
Simply browse the collection, choose your favorites, place your preorder, and we’ll take care of the rest.
When will my order ship?
Our current plan is to restart paint production in early September 2026.
Because our production schedule depends entirely on the weather, this timeline isn’t guaranteed.
This year’s monsoon arrived later than expected, which means it could also continue later than usual. If that happens, production, and therefore shipping - will begin later as well.
If our timeline changes, we’ll keep everyone updated every step of the way.
A quick note about preorders
When you place a preorder, you’re reserving your place in our production queue.
Since we purchase materials and plan production based on preorder quantities, all preorder purchases are final. Once an order has been placed, it cannot be cancelled or refunded.
If you’re happy to wait a little longer for handmade watercolors crafted with care, we’d be absolutely delighted to make them for you.
