A staple in almost all artists' palettes, it is a warm, earthy, golden yellow with a large tonal range. It is the perfect colour to mix skin tones. Use this warm color to give a soft, golden glow to your skies or mix it with Quinacridone Rose to make vintage peach shades.

Each pan is magnetized. It is natural for some paints to have cracked surfaces by their nature. However, we assure you, that the cracks don't affect the performance of the paints.

To cleanly unwrap our paints, pop them in the freezer for 15 mins since some of them might have turned sticky in transit (this is natural as the heat during transport might activate the honey in the paints.)
Once they’ve frozen for a bit, it’ll be easy to peel off the wrapper without any paint sticking to it.
For the BESTEST, creamiest experience of our luxury watercolors, mist the pans with water, and let it sit for a minute or two before you paint with them. This will give you the highest color payoff at the lightest touch of your brush.
When you’re done, please air dry our paints and store them in a dry area with your palette lid open. Dark, damp conditions and humid weather might encourage mold growth on the paints because of local mold spores, not because of any impurity in the paints.

This is going to sound wild. But once you receive our handmade watercolors, put them in your freezer. This will help solidify your paints if they’ve gotten activated and become slightly sticky during transit (this is natural because there is a lot of heat during transport and it might activate the honey in the paints.)

Beautifully-made, distinctive brush roll for bringing my brushes on my travels. Strong but soft to touch, almost like a cosy duvet, unlike many flimsy items out there! You need one of these!

I have been a watercolor artist for 7+ years. This has become my favorite paper to paint on. Period. (and I've used paper from all over and all over my travels) I love the softness and the high standards. I have bought all sizes and a notebook with this paper and it's always beautiful. Worth the cost every time.
This is my second order of this set. They are staples and get used across everything. They are stunning and so easy to work with.
I tried these wet on wet for the first go. Bursts of color just amazing! They are richly saturated, creamy and a pleasure to use. Rich paint makes such a difference in my work. These paints are definitely dreamy! Saturated colors that are smooth and creamy, blend well and are delightful to use. The color hits the paper and magic happens! And I was surprised how easily the brush comes clean with all that rich color. Thank you! What a difference these lovely paints make.
LOVED opening my package of goodies from Blue Pine Arts on Christmas morning! So excited about my silk brush roll and the gorgeous paint colors in my paint pans. (You can see my little birds made with the granulated clove). Over the moon with the special things Trudi and her team tucked in…three paint dots including the very special kubers gold, some extra paper samples and yes, a tea bag.
Once again BPA blew my expectations out of the water!!! The silk collection is absolutely BEAUTIFUL and the paper is just a dream to paint on. So grateful BPA is shipping to America again, as they have a lifetime customer here!
The paper is wonderful and I love the cloth cover. The materials are the highest quality and just feel natural and Lucious to the touch.

All these greens with 5 Blue Pine granulating greens, including Paddy Green. So much fun
Nebula, Paddy greens and Imperial Jade were all used in this fun snail piece. I used salt and all the greens for her body. The leaves were a combination of those same greens plus others. I loved making this painting!
I am really enjoying the colors I purchased, the richness of the pigments and the smooth flow. They blend together very well to create a variety of shades and respond well to both wet/wet and wet/dry technique. So glad I found you!

This paper is softer than I expected it to be, and I really enjoyed working with it. It took some getting used to, as the paper buckled a bit with water, even when taped down, but it dried fairly flat. I loved that part about it. The paper took the watercolors really well, and allowed for lifting of colors. Overall, I really enjoy this paper.
Love this paper! The paper is soft and handles the watercolor very well. It paper doesn't buckle at all because it is glued down all all 4 sides. I typically paint 2 5x7 paintings per sheet to get the most out of the paper. I have been very happy with it so far!
Super pleased with the color selection. Highly recommend giving this a shot if you want to start travel sketching or if you just have limited space in your painting space. The tin has space for more half pans to add additional colors if you want them.

The perfect palette for painting outside! I believe in doing something creative every day — and taking my Blue Pine Arts watercolors along with me on excursions to nearby rivers and fields for a day trip landscape painting session —or on vacation for painting retreats — is a passion of mine. Blue Pine Arts colors are so rich and vibrant!
Like in my other reviews I do want to let you know that I am very much a beginner with watercolours in that I really don't know what I'm doing and am more like a kid in kindergarten (before school, or whatever you call it). I have used Canson XL, Arches (my least favourite), Meeden (awesome), Vintage (soo cool) and strathmore (ok), plus many other types of journal mediums. Now all I have done is swatch all of the colours that I received (including the dot cards, which are really way more than "dots") on the little separate piece of handmade paper that I received as a little extra and did a simple exercise on the first page. But from the beautiful little handmade pouch it came in, to the beautifully handmade watercolour journal covered with the amazing handmade clothe that you can read about on her site and the amazing handmade paper - it is absolutely stellar. So based on this amazing product I think you can purchase any of her paper watercolour products (she has blocks now too) and be so happy with them.
Oh I am so happy that I received this invite to give my review. Since receiving the package I have been looking for a place. I was over the moon excited when I received these paints that were lovingly wrapped and in their little tin. Not only that but I received three different paints on paint dot pages to try out. I was so excited to see that there were little magnets on the bottom of the paints to keep them in place in the tin. It might have been in the description and I missed it, but I was like a little kid giggling and laughing at that. Then came the unwrapping and trying them out. I am not an accomplished watercolourist "yet" (Trupti will I'm sure get me there at her retreat this year) but these watercolours are so beautiful and have so many facets to them compared to other paints (what other paints have I used you ask? Daniel Smith, Winsor & Newton, Beam, Koi, QOR, Meeds, Rockwell, Viviva, Derwent, Yarka, paint dots from friends and school paints from about 5 decades ago). So although I haven't done much work, or even really understand watercolours all that much - I absolutely love these paints that work on every single medium I have put them on so far. I don't even know what to say except that I absolutely love them. Don't hesitate if you are thinking about it. I absolutely know you will be happy.
Oh I am so happy that Shop sought a review. My order was like receiving a Christmas present. So much packed with love into this order. The paints are amazing and have spoiled me for all others, although I will have to finish what I have. But the Blue Pine Arts paints are my favorite above all. Such a lovely little tin and the carefully wrapped paints also have the name of.the paint on the little half pan. The added touch of.having magnet on the bottom of each half pan is brilliant.
